It’s time for Kiker’s annual Track & Field Day. This is a very exciting day for the kids and the only fundraiser for the PE Department. Please help us make this day a huge success for all of our Kiker Comets! Remember to send your child to school on this day properly attired and equipped: sack lunch, class T-shirt, tennis shoes, water bottles and sunscreen. All students will be have lunch in their classroom from 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm.

Calling All Volunteers! This event would not be possible without your generous donations of time, talent, and by providing snack donations for the concession stand. To volunteer for this event please use the link http://www2.mysignup.com/kiker_track_2010. There are many ways to help and if the time slots fill up please email any of us so that we can fit you in.

Concession Stand! The concession stands will be set up on the back deck and in Faulkner Hall. As in the past, all items at the concession stand are obtained through donations from parents. The snacks must adhere to the AISD Healthy Food Guidelines, please see below for a list of suggested snacks. If you can make a donation from this list we would greatly appreciate it. Please stick to this list where brands or restrictions are specified and please only send in pre-packaged individual serving sizes. In addition, pickles, popcorn, and novelties will be available for purchase. The proceeds from the concession stand are used to purchase equipment for the PE Department. Snack donations can be dropped off in the front office on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 10 -12th.

Debit Cards! All students will use debit cards to purchase snacks at the concession stand so they don’t have to carry cash with them. Concession stand items will be priced at $0.50 each. You may begin sending in cash for debit cards to your child’s teacher on Monday, May 10th and it will be collected until Wednesday, May 12th. Please send cash in a sealed envelope with your child’s name, teacher name and amount on it. (A friendly reminder that sending in dollar bills and quarters is preferred and will make counting the money much easier for the P.E. Department. Thank you for understanding. )
