Rocket Readers needs you to come on board and help our students boost their reading skills!

We still have a lot of students on a waiting list, so please consider volunteering and helpingthem become more confident readers. Experience is not required. A desire to make adifference in a child’s life is all you need! We welcome parents, grandparents, neighbors, andanyone who enjoys working with children.

• Program is supported and sponsored by Kiker Administration and PTA.
• Students referred to Rocket Readers by Kiker staff.
• Thirty minute time slots take place during school hours, every week through April.
• This program is run solely by volunteers, and they work one-on-one with students whoneed a boost with their reading skills. Materials are fun and easy to use!
• Training is provided at Kiker. Volunteers must complete a background check.
