New Incoming Kindergartners

AISD Kindergarten Round Up is in May of each year. This is an opportunity to meet the administration, the Kindergarten teachers, view the campus, and learn about what to do to prepare your child for school. This is also when you fill out and bring all your paperwork to register your child (see below).

Children must be 5 on or by September 1st, in order to start Kindergarten. In order to register for Kindergarten, you will need to submit copies of:

• Your child’s social security card
• Your child’s birth certificate (must have original and provide a copy)
• Your child’s current and up-to-date immunization records
• Verification of your address, such as a utility bill or lease agreement – no phone or cable bills
• The parent’s driver’s license

General New Student Registration (Grades 1st though 5th):

For students new to AISD or current AISD students who have moved or transferred, you will register your child with the Kiker Office. Planned registration days for 2012-2013 School Year have been set for:
Wednesday, May 2, 2012 8:00 am to 6:00 pm---- grades K-5
Thursday, May 3, 2012 8:00 am to 6:00 pm---- grades K-5
Friday, May 4, 2012 8:00 am to 3:00 pm----  grades K-5

** IT IS NECESSARY TO BRING THE FOLLOWING WITH YOU:
All students new to Austin ISD must provide a birth certificate, current record of immunizations, child's last report card, proof of address (contract or utility bill with valid address), parent photo identification or driver's license, child's Social Security Card (optional).
