Download the GMS Summer Reading List. Incoming 6th graders must choose 2 novels to read over the summer. There will be an AR test in English class in the fall on the books read.

Please note that ALL exterior doors to the main building are to remain locked at all times. Everyone should enter and exit the building through the front doors only. Students riding bikes to school should walk to the sidewalk and enter through front doors. Students and parents who would like to attend assembly should report directly to the cafeteria.

No cell phones in school zone

School zones and cell phone use - As you know, the law bans all cell phone use when the lights are flashing in school zones. Did you know…simply holding your cell phone in your hand, even if you are not using it, still constitutes as cell phone use in a school zone.

Crosswalks - While we know that it is inconvenient to use the crosswalks, please take the extra few minutes to walk over and use it, and model to your child that you are also respecting our rules. Drivers are in a hurry and distracted during drop off and pick up, and we see too many kids darting across the streets, and too many close calls.
