| Fundraising
Fundraising is the method of raising money to finance
PTA
programs and projects. Our fundraising activities support the goals of
PTA, enabling the PTA to underwrite a wide range of activities and
resources for the students, staff, and parents.
The PTA fundraisers for 2007-08 and their schedules are:
Back-to-school supplies are available in August just before school
begins. This sale is one stop shopping for school supplies
that
are approved by and requested from each grade level. For more
information or to volunteer during this event contact Janice Dickson.
Spirit shirts showcase the artwork of one Kiker student on t-shirts
that are available mainly during August and September, but may be
purchased throughout the year availability permitting. There
are
still youth small and medium shirts available for $12. These
shirts are worn by students and faculty alike to show their Kiker
spirit on Fridays. It's always fun when the PTA president
Susie
Klein shows up for assembly on Friday and sees everyone in their Kiker
shirts. You never know when a PTA cheer may be
coming. We
do need someone to help coordinate this fundraiser in the spring after
the art winners are selected. If you are interested, please
contact DeeDee
Green at or Tracy White.
Water bottles are also available through the PTA back to school
sales. These bottles are blue or white with the Kiker name
and
comet logo. Water bottles are $4 each or 2 for $6 and 3 for
$10. What a deal! Contact DeeDee Green
at or Tracy
White to place an order.
Sally Foster gift wrap sale is a popular fundraiser and the one that
brings in the most money for the PTA. Quality wrapping paper
and
supplies are offered each year in the fall, but internet sales are
on-going until 15 January 2008. Contact Elizabeth
Milliner with questions.
New this year will be the Kiker's Kitchen cookbook. Sales
will
start in early December with the first cookbook being $20; two
cookbooks $17.50 each and three or more books are $15 each.
Contact Kate Scholz or
Andrea O'Daniel.
Pavers are commemorative stones in the star in front of the school with
special messages to teachers and students. These stones will
be
available for purchase during the spring semester.
