THANKYOU FROM YOUR PTA

Thank you for a great year of community support, family fun, and financial and volunteer support at Kiker.  With your help, we were able to:

• Present all of our staff members with a Kiker t-shirt
• Publish the student directory
• Give classroom support money to all of our teachers
• Help provide classroom subscriptions
• Help support the science lab and Glass Harp productions for the older grades
• Have Read-A-Rama
• Provide games at the Fall Festival
• Put on a fabulous Family Science Night
• Answer many questions at Middle School 101
• Ensure Kiker’s voice was heard at AISD board meetings and shorten the drive to middle school
• Support the Math Pentathlon, Lego Robotics and Reflections programs
• Raise almost $7,500 for new library books
• Appreciate our staff with 4 lunches throughout the year
• Share a bicycle safety message to our student body
• Recognize our 10 year staff members

KINDERGARTEN PLAYDATES FOR NEW KINDERS

Are you interested in meeting some new Kiker Kinders? If so, please join us at the park or at the pool on the following Wednesdays:

• 9:00 am June 17 at Circle C Park
• 9:00 am July 8 at Wildflower Park
• 9:00 am July 29 at Circle C Park
• 10:00 am Aug 5 for swimming at the Circle C pool
• August 19 at Wildflower Park

Look for the Kiker poster and grab a name tag and meet some new friends.

SCHOOL SUPPLY PICK-UP: AUGUST 14TH!

School Supply Pickup will be on Friday, August 14th from 1:00p – 6:00p at Kiker. Please plan to pick up your supplies or have a friend pick them up for you. Supply kits will NOT be delivered to the classroom and this is the only day for pickup. The 2009-2010 Kiker spirit t-shirts will also be available on the 14th.

SAVE THE DATE FOR KIKER BIKEFEST '09

Save the Date *** September 19, 2009 *** Strap on your helmet and ride over to the Kiker Bike Fest. This family event is a great chance for young people to learn and practice their safe riding skills in a fun, non-competitive atmosphere. Experienced riders will also be able to Tour the Veloway with six-time Tour de France finisher Kevin Livingston. Mark you calendars for a morning of fun!
